I thought I would have been able to read the Harry Potter finale in record time, but thanks to spoilers from left, right, centre, (Thank you for that - people at the bookshop, my sisters, radio DJs, email spams, avatars on the internet ) I took this long to finish it. There's been mixed reviews on it. Plenty of hard core fans weren't thrilled by the epilogue. Seven books later and you based your views on that epilogue is a bit sad. It is an epilogue, not a full story of what happened to everyone, it also gives us the charm of wandering about all this characters we came to read and love, some characters more loved than others. But we can safely assume that all who survived (and their offsprings too) are doing well.
I just want to say thanks to JK Rowling who created the Harry Potter series and the characters who came alive in those seven books I read.

Okay, I am dying of curiosity on the final saga of the Harry Potter series. I mean what's not to love, a nobody with a crappy childhood, finds a totally new world with wizards and magic and to find that he vanquished the most evil wizard for a period of time, and at such a tender age too!! I have read all the books to date (thanks sis for lending it to me, tho' i tore a few pages of Book 5) Maybe my years have progressed and I'm not excited about it like my sis and her 14 year old friends (yeah right, I'm sure you're not excited just because you all are SO in luve with Daniel Radcliffe, richest kid in England!!
( Expectations... )
I must say, they've grown up so fast!! The poster looks cool with that dark gothic style, signaling the many facets of the 600 plus book to fit an hour and a half plot for the film that covers all the bases.... I'm watching this in a couple of hours...

I received mail today from my alumni when I was in school doing A-levels in Scotland. Made me feel nostalgic. Natsukashii!!! Of my brief time there, so thought I'd post something about it.
Emblem and logo of the school

View of the main building

The school is more than a hundred years old and is located in a small, peaceful and beautiful town called Crieff, Scotland. Crieff is an ever small town where you know the streets on the back of your hand and people are generally warm and treat you like they've known you for ages. Of course, one of the things that people know about Morrison's Academy is that Ewan Macgregor (yes the movie star who is Scottish!!) went to school there. His dad teaches English/literature in the school. Of course, I didn't get to meet him, I was there later when he had left school and moved on to bigger things...
School seems like a distant warm memory to me now. All that hustling between classes, those windy days as we moved from buildings, how snow made it difficult for us to go about the school, learning fencing and getting a badge for it. Funny how a simple circular with the school emblem reminded me of a lot of things. My teachers - the timid, soft-spoken chemistry teacher, the good-looking and funny biology teacher, the tall, House M.d. look alike Geography teacher, the pretty but messy mathematics teacher and the stern yet considerate physics teacher... (I remembered all their names though I have purposely not put it up here).
The friends I had,the head boy and girl who everyone looked up too, the basketball club we had during lunch hours, the packed lunches, the Christmas dinners where they made us do some formal dances, weekly rugby matches, sports day, outings to Stirling, Career's day... (I swear I'm looking up my album after I post this)I think I gained a lot when I was there, not only in terms of lessons, activities and friendship but I learned about myself too, gained confidence and believed in myself a bit more. Thank you, Morrison's Academy for that brief period in my life.... Maybe I'll have children and send them there... sort of a family tradition thing...

I was googling the stars of Pro Dai and came upon some fansites mushrooming on the Net.You can google up to see scans from Mags and caps from tv promotion shows. I found this flash on MV with a Korean song in the background. So sweet and captures the scans and caps I mentioned.

P/s: If anyone knows the title or singer of the song, please leave a comment. Onegaishimasu!!

I had deja vu when watching the first episode. A case of where have I seen the scenario where Yoshida Rei, the prospective bride prepares herself, albeit naively, for the biggest and possibly grandest event of her life. The voice over stating to marry the person you love second best was a bummer.. Is that what a marriage is?? The poor partner, knowing you're second best..
While in another part of the town, an alarm rings and we see a Iwase Ken hastily getting ready and running for fear of being late to the wedding and this man is of course not the groom. He is one of the group who are best friends to the bride and groom.
A wedding takes place for Yoshida Rei and Tada Tetsuya as Iwase Ken watches on as he watches the girl he loves weds another man.

I am currently watching Proposal Daisakusen which is airing on Fuji TV and has reached 8 episodes. I wasn't really interested with the time slip scenario of the dorama but I was pleasantly surprised by the bittersweet touching and tender moments from the dorama. Each episode brings more heartbreak to our protaganist instead of overcoming his regrets.

Have been in exile from livejournal. Seems that I've been sighing my days away. So unfulfilled. Just wasting my days away. Watching the seconds go by...
Am at a loose end as University's out. What happened to all the things I listed out to do as soon as vacation starts... Nada...Didn't go out jogging, haven't gone swimming, managed to do some shopping but didn't get the things i really wanted though...
Even failed to rewatch Nodame Cantabile... but just posting the pics. maybe i'll get motivated...

I've been having these slow lazy days where I find no motivation at all to do my studies and my assignments!! I've been lazing around without accomplishing anything!!! Just wait till the clock ticks to the final countdown!!!
I don't want to waste my time but I can't seem to put my nose on the grindstone!! I wish that we could just take a drink of one those heavily advertised drinks and be instantly charged up!! Whooosh!!
Although I am still obsessing about Chiaki Senpai and Nodame, S_orchestra and R*S orches, I've been currently watching TW drama online!! HuaYang Shao Nian Shao Nu!! Quite cute!! I'm not actually a fan of Taiwan idol dramas because majority of the products reeks of bad acting but can't help it this time. Could roll around laughing!! The lead actress acts pretty well and so cute too!! I am awaiting Hana Yori Dango 2 to finish airing before watching the episodes.

I feel so sleepy and my energy level is running low!!

I have just finished watching Nodame Cantabile dorama. Was very surprised that I absolutely loved it despite all those cheese manga-like actions at the beginning of the dorama. Now I am a firm favourite of Ueno Juri and Tamaki Hiroshi!!! Their chemistry was spot on!! Chiaki senpai!!! *Dreamy* Gyaabo!! *Aack* So currently I am totally obsessed about the dorama. Tried watching the anime, but once you've seen the 3D, expectations are too high for the anime!!! I'll write up my thoughts on the dorama later though.
That guy who played Stresseman was an absolute SCREAM!!! Too funny.

So finally I jumped the bandwagon and signed up for an LJ account. Hope it will catch on to me like reading up LJ community accounts. Just thought to join and put up my interests, likes, dislikes. Look back 6 months later and see that I have changed in tastes maybe not for the better but I think change is good. It changes the way one looks at things, everything, the world.
Typically, I get into phases when I'm so into one thing at one moment and into another the next. But usually i bring with me past memories as well, the good and the bad. Guess that's my first words in my LJ today.
Have a nice day all.
